Apple, Google, Microsoft and Mozilla have announced a new collaboration. The goal is to provide the same browsing experience for individual browsers.
All four companies and others are expected to work on a new Interop 2022 compatibility benchmark. The goal of this collaboration is to reduce the number of hops for developers and help create a consistent experience, not how to combine with workarounds for different browsers.
Benchmark Interop 2022 should focus on 15 areas of modern browsers. These include color features in CSS, scrolling or cascading layers. Developers and users can now follow developments in Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox in all of these areas on the Interop 2022 website.
