GeForce RTX 2060 will return to the market. The new version will get 12 GB of memory

  • November 17, 2021

The return of one of Nvidia’s most popular graphics cards seems inevitable. New entries for the GeForce RTX 2060 card with up to 12GB of RAM have been found in the EEC database. The application is registered by Gigabyte and concerns four designs. It is quite possible that the card will be officially announced in the near future.

The first reports about the return of the GeForce RTX 2060 appeared a few months ago, and more and more indications are that they were true. This is evidenced by the November 15, 2021 entry in the aforementioned EEC database about four new Gigabyte graphics cards. These are all RTX 2060s, which in addition are not equipped with 6GB as in the standard model, but with the whole 12GB of memory.

This amount of memory indicates the use of 192-bit interface, known from the standard version of the RTX 2060. We can also expect that the other parameters of the card will not change, and on its board we will find, for example, 1920 CUDA cores. Of course, there is a possibility that a slightly more powerful chip from the RTX 2060 Super will be used, but at the moment there is no confirmation of this. According to the latest data, the improved GeForce RTX 2060 with 12 GB of memory may be introduced on December 7.
