A dog requires a great deal of responsibility. After all, the animal needs to be fed, brought out and trained at least minimally. What if you don’t have to? Xiaomi introduces its four-legged robot, which is very similar to Boston Dynamics’ Spot robot.
Do you want to get a dog but don’t have the ability to take care of it? Maybe you go away a lot and don’t have anyone to leave him with? In that case, you should consider a new option offered by Xiaomi – CyberDog. The four-legged robot based on the smallest known NVIDIA supercomputer, the Jetson Xavier NX, can surely take care of itself.
CyberDog will be made available to users in open-source mode. Combined with a built-in artificial intelligence module, this means that every robot owner will be able to create new applications that will enhance its functionality. The device will be equipped with 11 sensors, allowing it to bypass small, even a few centimeters, obstacles and navigate through open spaces. The robot will be able to recognize its owner by face and posture and follow it even in a crowd of people. In turn, the use of advanced servo drives will allow it to dynamically rotate and move at a speed of 3.2 m/s.
