Soon we should witness the launch of new graphics chips, designed primarily for laptops – we are talking about new releases of the popular GeForce RTX 30 cards in an improved version called Super.

One of the insiders with the nickname “Greymon55” reports that at the beginning of next year, Nvidia will present new and improved versions of graphics cards next generation labeled Super. According to information that appeared on Lenovo’s website when mentioning the ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen4 laptop, we can certainly expect the debut of updated versions of the GeForce RTX 3070 and 3080 mobile GPUs.

Many point out that the updated graphics cards will use the GA103 core instead of the existing GA104. This should lead to an increase in the number of CUDA cores. Probably nothing will change in the context of graphics memory – the updated chips should receive the same amount and type of VRAM.

It is worth remembering that Nvidia decided to take the same step already on the occasion of the previous generation of GPUs – the company introduced new versions of almost all cards of the GeForce RTX 20 family.

It is important to note that the manufacturer also plans to debut new releases of desktop versions of GeForce RTX 30 family GPUs – according to unofficial reports, they will have to appear in stores only next year.
